Kirk Sorensen is founder of Flibe Energy and is an advocate for nuclear energy based on thorium and liquid-fluoride fuels. For five years he has authored the blog “Energy from Thorium” and helped grow an online community of thousands who support a renewed effort to develop thorium as an energy source.

Kirk Sorensen, founder of the energyfromthorium blog, has left his job as chief nuclear technologist at Teledyne Brown to found a company, Flibe Energy, dedicated to building commercial liquid-fluoride thorium reactors (LFTRs).

He is also an international speaker on the potential of thorium as a future energy source, speaking recently in Dubai, Singapore, Switzerland, South Korea, Portugal, Canada, the United Kingdom, and across the United States. Kirk Sorensen is a technologist and engineer.
